Our Belfast Rise Jewellery collection currently consists of silver necklaces and smaller earrings, but maybe you would be looking for a charm? Please let us know and we will investigate a new design.
The main road between Belfast and Dublin is dominated at the Broadway interchange by the public art ‘Rise’ metal structure which is around 40 metres high and cost between £4000,000 to £500,000.
Over 40 designs were originally submitted and Wolfgang Buttress’ ‘Rise’ won and was built in 2011.
The ‘Rise’ represents a new sun rising to celebrate a new chapter in the history of Belfast (Wiki).
As ever in Belfast the ‘Rise’ sculpture was quickly given a few unofficial nicknames, the ones that we know about are the ‘Balls on the Falls’ and ‘the Westicles’. Do you know of any other nicknames for the ‘Rise’ sculpture?
